Why Won't You Kiss Me?

I’m going to guess the answer to that question is because your breath stinks! I hope no one has ever had to go through a situation like this with a significant other. But just in case you have, before you try to tongue him/her down with your bacteria, here are some tips to avoid halitosis (aka bad breath)
Check those dental habits!

· Do you brush your teeth at least twice a day with toothpaste that has fluoride?
· Do you brush your tongue?
· Do you replace your toothbrush every 2-3 months?
· Do you use floss to remove plaque and other particles from your teeth at least once a day?
· Do you see your dentist at least twice a year so that s/he can check for any oral problems/concerns and give you a proper cleaning?
· Do you smoke or chew tobacco products?
· Do you drink lots of water?
· Do you chew sugarless gum over other types?

If you answered “NO" to any of these questions, you might want to get yourself to respond with a "YES".
If none of these things work, bad breath could also be a sign of gum disease, pneumonia, bronchitis, diabetes, chronic acid reflux, postnasal drip, liver and kidney problems, or chronic sinus infections.

Also, keep in mind mouthwashes only mask bad odor. There are some antiseptic ones that kill germs in your mouth, but it is best to ask your dentist which is best for you.

Valentine’s Day is a kiss away BizzyBodies!
