eyeInspire: Be the Apple of His Eye

Keep me as the apple of Your eye…” Psalm 17:8, NIV

In this day and age, people are considered to be important for so many different reasons — titles, position, possessions, where you go, what you drive, etc. But God’s value system is very different from the value system of the world. God cherishes and values you so much today, simply because He made you. You are the apple of His eye; the center of His world!

If you’ve ever thought that God has too many other important things on His plate to be concerned with you and your life, know this today — you are God’s number one priority. And there’s nothing you can do to be more important or less important to Him. He values you today and your value will never change. You are significant. Your life is significant. The things that concern you, concern God. He carefully watches over every detail of your life, and there is nothing too big or too small for His attention.

Today, don’t be afraid to take your concerns and cares to the Father. He loves to hear you call upon Him. He is waiting to show Himself strong on your behalf.

Here's a prayer you can say today: Father in heaven, thank You for loving me today. Thank You for keeping me the apple of Your eye. I open my heart and mind to You and cast every care on You. I receive Your love for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I like this blog and I don't believe in any particular "God" but I find the spiritual posts interesting. A question I would have is how can all of us be the apple of his eye and the number one priority?

  1. Wow...

@Anonymous - being a Christian, you have to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior. There are different denominations withing the Christian faith. As far as Him having all of us as His #1 priority, it's simple. Once you have faith and believe in Him, He will never forsake you. If you read the Holy Bible, you'll find that it explains literally everything! I wish i could give you a better answer, but if you're seriously seeking God, I would suggest finding a church and so you can learn the Word with others.

To reiterate from Tiffany, for Christians, the source of this knowledge is from the Bible. And in the Bible, there are multiple verses that explain how God considers each person a priority because of his love for us. One of my favorite verses that shows how we as HIS CREATION are a priority is: John 3:16 which states that "For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (meaning this God we speak of loved humanity (from the rich to the poor, the weak to the strong, the arrogant, violent, and angry to the meek, humble, and kind, he gave his ONE and ONLY Son that we might have another chance at strengthening a relationship with Him and being saved)...

a simpler analogy is that of a father with many children that manages to make each of his children a priority..

Other verses if you are open to it you may look up online if you do not have a Bible are:
    (Ephesians 2:4-5)
    (Jeremiah 31:3)
    (1 John 4:9-10)

Though they call him by a different name, Muslims and Jews believe in the power of God's love as well.

Thank you for asking that question. You are not the only one who was probably thinking that, and I hope this helps some.
